To all the folks that came out for the festival - thank you! We had lots of guests come and visit us at our table. During the festival, we had many people register to win a complimentary month. We haven’t announced the winner yet, so keep your eyes peeled for the announcement.

here comes the sun table

Yogaworks offered many classes throughout the day, including meditation, pilates, and bed yoga. Many yogis practiced in Rumsey Field, while others just relaxed in the cool breeze. We snapped a few photos during the festival. If you have any, send them our way and we’ll post them here. Also, if you are participating in any upcoming yoga events let us know - we’d love to hear your experience. See you at the Asana Championships if not before!

road in scotlandLiving at such a hurried pace can often seem exhausting. However, it doesn’t have to be.

It is possible to do all things we do and still be calm and centered. Imagine yourself having a breakthrough in your practice: “Wow! I’ve never done that before!” or “So THAT’S what standing bow feels like!”

How do you achieve that on a daily level? What happens when you’re struggling or get distracted in class?

How do you stay focused on your tasks when there is a constantly shifting demand for your time and attention? It’s all about keeping your flow and opening your energy channels.

In Getting Things Done, David Allen (the author) talks about achieving a “zen state” in all tasks. Imagine if everything you did made you feel like you’ve done Bikram Yoga!

The key is to get out of your head. Write it down, email it to yourself, or put it in your PDA. It doesn’t really matter what system you use, as long as it’s a system YOU trust. If you can simply focus on what you’re doing now, in the moment, you’ve already made progress.

For great tips and insights, visit the Getting Things Done Blog or listen to these podcasts.

Thanks to all who attended our Drum Class this September! We’ve been running this special Drum Class twice a year since we’ve opened up the studio.

Since then, the drum class has evolved. Through the years, it has taken on different meanings. During this drum class, we had one of our staff members, Jaki Levy, in the class for his birthday. At the end of the class, Otto mentioned his gratitude for this entire community. Otto quoted Bikram by saying that “You create your life.”

Putting together this studio and team of people has been a very intentional process. Every student in there provided a radiant and powerful energy during the class. We are deeply thankful of everyone who attended the drum class.
